Two Hummock Island is a mountainous island off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula, separated from the mainland by the Lemaire Channel region and surrounded by ice-filled waters. The island is named for its two prominent peaks, which rise above a rugged landscape of snow, rock, and glaciers. Its remote setting makes it a less frequently visited destination than some nearby Antarctic sites, but expedition vessels may approach the island for wildlife viewing, scenic cruising, or shore activities when conditions allow.

The island forms part of the wider Graham Land landscape, an area shaped by geological forces and extensive glaciation. Its name comes from the two distinctive hummock-like summits that dominate the island's profile. As with other parts of the Antarctic Peninsula, the area has connections to exploration and scientific activity, while modern visits are conducted under the environmental rules of the Antarctic Treaty System. There is no permanent settlement on Two Hummock Island, and human activity remains limited.

Two Hummock Island is characterized by steep slopes, rocky outcrops, snowfields, and glaciers that descend toward the coast. The surrounding waters can contain sea ice, creating changing patterns of white and blue around the island. Wildlife associated with the region includes penguins and seabirds, while seals and whales may be encountered in nearby waters. The island's two peaks provide a recognizable landmark for ships navigating along the Antarctic Peninsula, particularly when viewed from the surrounding channels and bays.

The island's remote character is one of its notable features, with little infrastructure and no developed visitor facilities. Shore visits, when offered, depend heavily on weather, sea conditions, ice, and wildlife activity. Expedition operators follow Antarctic visitor guidelines that require visitors to avoid disturbing animals and fragile vegetation while keeping to appropriate landing and walking routes. Two Hummock Island therefore offers an opportunity to experience a relatively undeveloped part of the Antarctic Peninsula, where the landscape itself remains the primary feature.
